THE EXPERIENCE

Are you ready to step onto a real film set?

This two week immersive Film and Acting Camp brings young creatives together to work on a scripted film with industry professionals. The project is shot for cinema and later screened to a public audience at the Imaginarium Film Festival.

From 19th - 31st July, students join Imaginarium Film Academy at the H-FARM campus near Venice for a creative experience that mirrors real world film production.

CREATIVE PATHWAYS

Filmmaking | Acting | Screenwriting

Alongside the main production, students explore their chosen pathway in acting, filmmaking, or writing through workshops, short projects, and creative labs that encourage experimentation, confidence, and bold ideas. Learning is collaborative, practical, and led by making.

THE FILM PROJECT

At the heart of the programme is a full cinematic film project.

Working in small groups of just 10 students, participants collaborate with professional filmmakers and acting coaches to bring a scripted story to life. From early rehearsals and creative decision making, to filming on location and reviewing footage in a cinema space, students experience what it truly means to make a film from page to screen.

Important Information

Before completing your application, please review our:

Code of Conduct | Terms of Service | Privacy Policy

These outline how we care for your child, our policies, and how we handle personal information.

By submitting your application and completing payment, you confirm you agree to these terms.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Imaginarium Film Academy operates with discretion as standard. In everyday communication, documentation and shared materials, students are typically referred to by first name only.

    Confidential Pupil Status

Families may request Confidential Pupil Status, meaning your child is known by a preferred or alternative first name throughout the camp. This applies to daily communication, printed materials, schedules, name badges, photography, video and any shared content.

    Use of legal names

Your child’s full legal name is used only where necessary, such as for contracts, medical information, safeguarding and travel documentation. These records are stored securely and accessed only by senior staff when required.

Balancing privacy while showcasing creative work

As a film academy, part of the experience is creating work we’re proud of. All films include credits recognising each student’s contribution, limited to first name or preferred first name.

During booking, you’ll be asked about your preferences regarding the use of your child’s image, name and creative work. These preferences are always respected and can be updated at any time.

  • We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible.

If you cancel or modify your booking within 14 days of applying, and this is more than 60 days before the camp begins, you may do so and receive a full refund.

If you cancel more than 60 days before the start of the Residential Camp, 50% of the camp fee will be refunded.

Due to accommodation, staffing and venue commitments, bookings cancelled within 60 days of the camp start date are non-refundable.

  • YES! Students are welcome to bring a phone or tablet with them.

To help everyone stay focused, creative and well-rested, we use a simple, shared approach to device use. Phones aren’t used during workshops, filming, meals, sports or group activities. During these times, devices are safely held by staff and returned during set times each day.

Evening device time is built into the schedule

    • Ages 11–13: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

    • Ages 14–18: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM

This gives time to message home, relax and wind down.

During off-campus trips, students aged 14+ may use their devices throughout the outing.

Charging: Devices are charged during activities or overnight as needed.

Staying in touch: If a student doesn’t yet have a phone, parents can message us on WhatsApp and we’ll call back between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM.

Our aim is simple: creative focus during the day, phone time in the evening, with everyone treated the same.

  • We’re very used to supporting individual needs and are committed to making sure every student feels safe, included and able to thrive.

During the enrolment process, please let us know about any key needs. In addition, around six weeks prior to camp, we’ll send a comprehensive student dossier requesting information such as:

    • Food allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements

    • Ongoing medical conditions or medication

    • Special educational needs, neurodiversity or learning differences

    • Any support strategies that help your child feel comfortable and confident

This information is collected through our confidential student dossier and is shared only with the senior team and relevant staff.

If your child has medical needs, dietary requirements or requires specific accommodations, a member of our nursing or pastoral team will contact you directly to discuss any arrangements in advance.

We work closely with H-Farm catering, campus staff and our own teaching team to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible, and we brief staff carefully so students are supported discreetly and respectfully.

If you’re unsure whether something needs to be flagged, we’d always rather you let us know. Our aim is simple: for every child to feel safe, understood and able to fully enjoy the experience.
